POOL CONSTRUCTION

Design:
Triple T Pools has expertise in the design of a suitable pool type based on a number of factors that include the client’s desire, budget and pool utilization. Our team of qualified personnel will be more than willing to provide professional advice to our clients in deciding the best type of pool to construct.

Excavation:
Excavations could either be done manually by hand or using machinery depending on discussions with the client.

Steel Reinforcing:
Steel reinforcing is laid out according to engineering specifications subsequent to a 300mm x300mm ring beam having been excavated around the pool edge (see pool construction notes).
Pool Shell:

Method 1 - High Pressure ganite: The pool shell is formed by high pressure of spraying ganite (OPC cement, which is the strongest and highest grade cement available, mixed with a good grade of river sand and water).

Method 2 - Hand Packed concrete: 30 M.P.A strength concrete is delivered on site where skilled labour hand packs it.

Paving:
A range of options exists, including wooden decking, paving bricks and tiles with which to enhance the aesthetics of the finished product.

Mosaics or glazed tiles:
A wide selection of tiles or mosaics are available in a variety shapes and sizes. The water line is demarcated by a 150mm band of tiles on mosaics. This demarcation ensures that the marbelite remains below the water line.

Interior finish:

Option 1 - Marbelite:
Marbelite consist of a mixture of marble dust and white cement, which is applied after the pool shell has been completed. Specially designed rounded steel rowels are used to apply the marbelite to a plaster thickness of 5mm to 9mm.

Option 2 - Fiber glass lining:
Plaster is applied to the completed pool shell and given an extremely smooth finish, which is in turn coated with fibre glass linen.

Filtration:
The size and volume of the pool will dictate the size of the filtration and reticulation system, which will be required to efficiently sanitise the pool water.

Triple T Pools is competent in both marbelite and fibreglass types of pools. Strict safety measures are religiously followed in treating the pool construction site in order to ensure that safety of our employees and clients alike.

Only high quality materials that have passed the applicable SABS standards are used in pool construction. Our main aim is to ensure the continued usage of the newly constructed pool by our client for many years to come. Customer satisfaction remains our motto.
